Freeze Dryer
Freeze drying is a method of drying products at sub-zero temperatures and under vacuum pressure. The temperature and vacuum pressure must be achieved so that water sublimates directly from the solid (ice) phase to the gas phase (a process called sublimation of water).
Thanks to the above principle, freeze-dried products will retain their shape and nutrients. In terms of color, freeze-dried products will change due to the different light reflection properties of the object when dry, but they will not change due to the deterioration of the product.
Hai Tan’s HT-FD freeze dryer line is divided into 3 smaller lines, classified by size and heating method:
- Mini model: FD6 (mini size, heated by heating plate)
- Pilot model: FD12, FD20, FD30, FD50, FD100, FD200, FD300, FD500 (medium size, can be moved by wheels, heated by conductive)
- Industrial model: FD1000, FD2000 (large size, separate freezing, heated by radiation)
The HT-FD freeze dryer mainly uses a single-stage refrigeration system, providing a drying temperature range of -20°C to 70°C. The vacuum pressure can reach 200-300mTorr (25-40Pa).
In special cases, Hai Tan can still design and manufacture systems using a 2-stage refrigeration system, allowing the product freezing temperature to reach -45°C.
