The predecessor of Haitan is Santavi Agricultural Machinery Company Limited. “Santavi” means “Vietnamese Creativity”

By 2016, Santavi was trading agricultural machinery products such as membrane hole punching machines, cereal planting machines, irrigation systems…

In 2017, the company expanded its business to include agricultural and food drying machines. Recognizing the lack of standard and high-capacity drying equipment in our country, the leadership decided to research and produce drying machines using self-developed technology. The sub-brand “Two-Ton Dryer” was born from that.

“After a period of doing business, trading everything to survive, we have decided to produce by ourselves. With the creativity of youth, everything can be done.”

Haitan in the early days, received the design of the drying oven according to any customer’s requirements. There were many times, putting all the capital into a project but not being accepted, being forced to withdraw the machine and refund the money. It seemed impossible to overcome, but in the end, all difficulties were resolved.

However, Haitan overcame all difficulties with the efforts and continuous creativity of the startup team. Therefore, not only did we overcome difficulties, we also had many achievements to be proud of:

• We are the first unit to apply cold storage panel walls to make drying ovens instead of the conventional method of using corrugated iron walls.
• We are pioneers in the field of heat pump dryer (cold dryer) research in Vietnam. The Haitan team traveled all over China to learn the secrets and design of their cold dryers and brought them back to Vietnam.
• Haitan is also the first unit to import HR freeze dryers from the US, a unit that cooperates with the world’s most famous freeze dryer manufacturer Cuddon – Newzeland.

In 2018-2019, Haitan continuously improved and launched many versions of the HTB heat pump dryer. Up to now, the latest version HTB – 2021 has just been launched.. 

At the end of 2020, Haitan also managed to put its name on the map of freeze dryer manufacturers in Vietnam. Thanks to its good quality and service, Haitan’s products are always more popular.

Along with the development of products and technology, the company also actively reformed and organized professionalization to realize the company’s orientations.

• In 2019, Haitan Dryers (HTD) was established, completely separating the research, production, and trading of drying machines. Haitan is oriented to become the leading drying machine manufacturer in Vietnam.
• In 2020, Haitan Group Joint Stock Company (HTG) was established. Santavi and Haitan became subsidiaries of the group. The group’s orientation is to become a manufacturer and contractor for installing machinery and equipment systems for the Vietnamese food industry through owning subsidiaries specializing in each type of machinery.
• In 2021, Santavi was transformed into a trading unit, distributing a variety of machinery, equipment, and food and preservation industries.
• In 2024 Haitan will collaborate with Kaudy Thailand to organize the production and sale of high-end freeze-drying machines in Pathumthani. This collaboration allows Thailand customers to access products at the lowest cost, while also enjoying excellent after-sales service.

Through each stage of development, Haitan’s strong impression has always been the spirit: “Youth – Wisdom – Dedication”. We are always striving to realize the dream: “For a strong Vietnamese mechanical industry”.

“Hai Tấn” is a pure Vietnamese word, a rustic name of the Western people. The word Hai in Haitan refers to the elder brothers. Broadly speaking, they are the leaders. I hope this name can be famous in the world!
